Fellowship Network Deadline: May 16
Combining the Frankfurt Fellows and the Frankfurt Invitation Program under one umbrella, the newly announced Frankfurt Fellowship Network is intended to offer more targeted opportunities for networking to younger professionals from the international book publishing industry.

With Frankfurter Buchmesse set for October 15 to 19), both these programs will give participants an experience of intensive training and networking, October 5 to 20, making stops in Frankfurt and Zurich for visits to publishing houses and bookstores, market presentations, “matchmaking” formats, and networking events. What’s more, the program will have a collective stand in place for the participating fellows, giving them a chance to present their own companies to the international publishing industry gathered at the trade show.

Eligible candidates for this combined program are publishers, editors, and managers of rights and licenses, 40 or younger and with at least three years of professional experience.

This year’s focus is on fiction, and applicants should have a good command of English. Letters of recommendation will be required in the application process. Buchmesse will cover travel and accommodation costs in Germany, as well as part of the catering. Pro Helvetia finances the trip to Zurich as well as accommodation and part of the catering in Switzerland.
