As more information comes out on programming at London Book Fair (March 12 to 14), we have news today (January 22) of the Research and Scholarly Publishing Forum. The program is a conference-within-the-trade-show to be held on LBF Thursday, March 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Olympia Theater, the last 45 minutes being given over to a networking lunch.
Focused on open access, academic publishing policy, and artificial intelligence, the program’s agenda features the following topics and speakers, as announced to date.

This includes examining the potential benefits of AI in enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility in the publishing workflow. This debate will also address insights on how to strike a balance between fostering innovation and ensuring accountability in the field of AI, the importance of regulatory frameworks, ethical considerations, and the role of government in promoting responsible AI development.”
