The NYU Advanced Publishing Institute Opens 2025 Registration

The second edition of the NYU Advanced Publishing Institute, the successor to the Yale program, is set to run January 6 through 10.

A ‘Comprehensive, Enriching Learning Experience’
With dates set for January 6 through 10, the Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts at New York University’s School of Professional Studies‘ has opened registration for its 2025 NYU Advanced Publishing Institute for book business professionals.

Targeted to mid- to senior-level book publishing professionals, the program will take place as a physical event on New York University’s Greenwich Village campus. Information about the 2025 program and registration is now available on the here  and through email at nyu.api@nyu.edu.

The US$5,000 registration fee includes breakfasts, lunches, and opening and closing receptions.

Daily sessions are to run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET daily with breaks for networking, as lectures and workshops deliver the key content of the program. Case studies, problem-solving exercises, and analysis of successful strategies are also used in the curriculum of the program.

In a prepared statement, Andrea Chambers, the associate dean at New York University’s Center for Publishing and Applied Liberal Arts, says, “The inaugural launch of the NYU Advanced Publishing Institute was a resounding success. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our attendees.

“We’re are now building on that success to provide an even more comprehensive, enriching learning experience for the 2025 program, which will feature a wide array of leading industry experts and professionals.”

Topics expected to be included in the programming in January include:

  • An analysis of the current publishing landscape
  • How to tailor your audio strategy to a specific audience and region
  • What we know now about best practices for AI and book publishing
  • Understanding new sources of revenue and profit margins
  • Maximizing profit from international book fairs and translation rights
  • Embracing change management for a creative industry
  • Practical consumer-focused approaches in marketing and sales for publishers large and small
