The story is about friendship, new beginnings, a norman Rockwell-type of small town, secrets of the past with elements of mystery. It is book one in the Havenridge Mystery series. Since all books in the series are written as stand alone novels, you can read them in any order.

The first few chapters sucked me into this story about a killer on the loose in Ybor City. I loved how the author captured the feel of the Tampa area. But what really kept me coming back for more were the characters. I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen to Amber Moon and her close circle of friends. I definitely plan on keeping an eye out for the next Taylor novel.

We had the pleasure of buying this book at a book signing event. I enjoyed meeting a few of the veterans featured in this book, as well as Chris Coad Taylor the author. I really enjoyed reading this book on WWII. History buffs and anyone interested in stories about some of the men that served in the war would enjoy reading this book. Great job Chris Coad Taylor.
